BAM’s deputy president, Ybhg. Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria has announced the new general manager of Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) this morning. Lawrence Chew, a Malaysian who has been living in Switzerland for the past thirty years was appointed as the general manager of BAM effective from 1st January 2016 after the resignation of Kenny Goh who was BAM’s general manager for the last nine years.
According to Datuk Seri, Lawrence is the most suitable person to spearhead BAM and its technical director, Morten Frost as he has vast experience in badminton being the operating officer of Swiss Badminton Association and also one of the council members of Badminton World Federation (BWF). Kenny Goh resigned last month to take up the post as chief operating officer (COO) at Badminton Asia Confederation.
