She is definitely proving herself as one of the most promising player in the womens’ singles department in Malaysia. The 15 year-old Goh Jin Wei produced another remarkable results winning her second international title at the Kawasaki-Tran Local Foods Vietnam International Series. Just three weeks ago, she secured her first international title at the Yonex Belgian International Challenge.

Moreover, she managed to avenge her defeat to Su Yu today as the latter had beaten her during the Thailand Junior International U-19 back in January this year. The petite sized Jin Wei resembles a ‘cili padi’ which looks tiny and yet, there is so much of spiciness to it.

Being a bubbly person, her opponents may not see her as a threat but once she steps into the court, she is a fighter who never gives up. The Penang born lass will now turn her focus to the World Junior Championships which will be held next month in Lima, Peru.

However, the mixed doubles pair of Tan Kian Meng/ Peck Yen Wei fell short of another gold when they lost their match in three games to Rian Swastedian/ Masita Mahmudin of Indionesia, 13/21, 21/19, 21/17. Despite their defeat, it was a good performance and they have to make sure they remain consistent.
