Malaysia has sent four national players to compete in the 2015 K&D Graphics Yonex Grand Prix tournament held at the Orange County Badminton Court, California. National top mens’ doubles pair, Goh V Shem/ Tan Wee Kiong are expected to produce good results here as none of the top ten players are competing. However, they have to be aware of the presence of Vladimir Ivanov/ Ivan Sozonov of Russia who defeated them in the finals of the Russian Open Grand Prix four months ago. The Malaysians are the second seed while the Russians are the top seed.

One of the main challenges the duo may face in the bottom half are from world No. 26, Marcus Ellis/ Chris Langridge where they are expected to meet the English pair in the quarter-finals and a semi-finals possibility against world No. 20 from Chinese Taipei, Ling Chen Hung/ Wang Chi-Lin. They will be up against Philip Chew/ Sattawat Pongnairat of USA in the first round tomorrow.

The other pair who will be in action tomorrow are Chan Peng Soon/ Goh Liu Ying who will compete against Kenta Kazuno/ Ayane Kurihara of Japan. The SEA Games silver medalist have played once against the Japanese during the Australian Open Superseries and they won the match. However, it was a tough three games, hence the duo will need to stay focus for another win.
